2001

Mr. Su Weili, founder of Sky Solar and one of the initiators of Tianwei Yingli New Energy Co. Ltd., (the actual operating entity of YGE) has about ten years of experiences since he set foot in the solar power industry in 2001.

2005~2008
In 2005, Mr. Su Weili invested and established Sky Solar (HK) International, engaging in the international trade of solar power products; and the development of end use market of European solar power stations.
From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Su Weili accomplished the development and construction of a number of large-scale plants in Spain and he established a number of companies in major European markets, engaging in developing local solar power plants with accumulative installed capacity of over 100MW. The company is the first Chinese company to enter the European solar power end use market with complete network all over the global mainstream solar power end use market.
In 2007, Mr. Su Weili invested in and established Changzhou Sky Solar New Energy Co,m Ltd in Changzhou, China, overseesing quality control of global supply chains. In 2009, the cpmpany was recognized by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment", the only state level independent privately-owned third party testing institution in China.

2009
In Sep. 2009, Sky Solar Holding Co., Ltd was registered in the Cayman Islands, after the reorganization of the global power station end use market. By the end of 2009, the holding company completed construction of eight power stations with a total installation capacity of 23 MW.

2010~2011
- Since 2010 till Q1 of 2011, Sky Solar gained nearly $54,000,000 strategic investment from IDG capital, Jiangsu Jinmao etc.
- The head quater of Sky Solar Holdings moved from Beijing to Shanghai, China in April 2011. - Amy Zhang, former CFO of Suntech Power Holdings, assumes CEO of Sky Solar Holdings. |
