2001

Mr. Su Weili, founder of Sky Solar Holdings, has almost ten years of experience since first stepping into the photovoltaic industry in 2001. He is also one of the founders of Tianwei Yingli New Energy Co., Ltd. (the operational arm of YGE)

2005
In 2005, Mr. Su Weili launched Sky Solar Hong Kong, which specializes in the international trade of photovoltaic products.

2006~2008 Mr. Su Weilibegan to develop of photovoltaic plants in the European markets, overseeing the development and construction of a number of large-scale plants in Spain from 2006-2008. Following this he established a number of companies in major European markets and developing local photovoltaic plants with the accumulative installed capacity of over 100MW. The company is the first Chinese company to enter the European solar power plant market.

In 2007
In 2007, Mr. Su Weili established the Changzhou Sky Solar New Energy Institute in Changzhou, China, which oversees quality control of global supply chains. In 2009, the Institute was awarded the “Laboratory Accreditation Certificate” making it the first state level independent privately-owned testing organization in China.

2009
On Sep. 2009, Sky Solar Holding Co., Ltd was registered in the Cayman Islands, following the restructuring of its global terminal plants.
By the end of 2009, the company completed its construction of eight power plants with a total installation capacity of 23 MW.
